TMI, apologies for the gross photo but anyone know what the hell this is?

It could be, OP, but also all sorts of weird bleeding can occur when you're pregnant.
How many weeks are you? Are you having any pain?

Caz04 · 20/02/2023 21:52

@Iggi999 i should be 6 weeks today. I had heavy bleeding for a few days, once I passed a huge clot that went straight to the back of the toilet, my bleeding and cramps had calmed down, more like a mild period. I have been bleeding for a total of 8 days but passed 2 have been more light in comparison. Have you ever experienced bleeding during a pregnancy?

That does sound like a lot of bleeding. It doesn't look good, but it's not hopeless - is your doctor willing to do blood tests to determine if your Hgc levels are rising?
I have had several miscarriages and two successful pregnancies, and I had spotting in all of them.

@Iggi999 Thank you for your reply! I believe it’s the decidual cast that came out last night which makes me think that combined with all the bleeding, there’s no way this baby has survived 😭 that’s amazing news about the successful pregnancies, I am super happy for you! With the miscarriages, was it just spotting you had?

Is this your first pregnancy? I would say spotting yes, rather than heavy bleeding - but was the same when I miscarried, just spotting and then miscarriage confirmed through a scan or blood tests.
Even if you think they won't do anything, I would still tell your GP what is happening. They might do bloods 48 hours apart and then that confirms it at least.

@Iggi999 This is my second pregnancy and completely different to what I experienced then. Oh okay! That’s devastating, you really just don’t know do you. Did you have the miscarriages in a row? I have contacted my GP and just waiting to hear back. I have taken a test this morning which looks lighter than all my others which is another flag as they should get/stay dark shouldn’t they.

Generally speaking, yes, though they are not exact - time of day can vary it etc.
My miscarriages were in a row between dc1 and 2. There is absolutely no reason why you will have more than one miscarriage, if that is what this turns out to be. I had particular issues.
I hope you can get the answers you need soon, not knowing is torture x

@Kaykay0821

hello this thread popped up because you made a comment on it.
the thread is from February , so pretty old.
You might be better starting one of your own to get a better response.
Sorry you have had a bleed , but I can't offer any advice as have no experience.
