Not sure why Im posting here, should be an expert at dealing with this heartache with it being my 6th time. Things where looking so good with this one

I have had tests got a clotting disorder and take aspriin and heparin, obviously didnt start it in time cos I didnt find out till i was 4+5 suppose to start at 4 weeks

My "baby" is turning 1 next week so I need to pull myself together

oh julez, i am so sorry for you

needahand · 08/02/2008 14:11

Sorry about your heartache and sending you a virtual hug.

I remember reading a while ago about a doctor that specialised in recurring miscariages. She is called Dr Leslie or something. I will have a look and come back with a link

Julezboo · 08/02/2008 14:13

needahand, I have read her book 3 times already...

She is called dr Lesley Regan at St Mary's

May be she could help?

vonsudenfed · 08/02/2008 14:14

Oh I am so sorry to hear that - I remember you from the pregnancy after miscarriage threads - I was twocats then. It's never possible to just cope with it I don't think, I had a couple, and experience didn't count for anything. I will be thinking of you.

needahand · 08/02/2008 14:14

I am sorry...that is all I could think of. Will leave you alone and hope you feel better soon

Julezboo · 08/02/2008 14:20

So sorry Julez, life can be so crappy sometimes . Feel inadequate to say anything to make you feel better - just sending you virtual hug too.

imopop · 08/02/2008 19:12

So sorry jules. I too have had six miscarriages and I was told I had a low protein s and was prescribed heparin and aspirin but I still kept having miscarrages. I went privately and saw prof regans team at st.marys and they found I did have a clotting disorder but not what my original local consultant thought it was. I had abnormal TEG studies so prof. regan doubled my dose of aspirin and stopped the heparin and now I am 21 weeks pregnant. i hope this helps and I am so sorry this has happened. xx

NorthernLurker · 08/02/2008 19:16

I'm so sorry for your loss Jules - I saw your thread about testing. It's very hard that it has turned out like this. I hope you feel a bit better physically very soon.

OracleInaCoracle · 08/02/2008 19:16

julez, im so sorry. im in the same boat, and know that theres nothing i can say to help you. i wish there was, but im thinking of you xx

catinthehat · 08/02/2008 19:18

Well I'm really sorry for you and other half, its rotten for you. Please don't feel you have to "pull yourself together". My goodness, six times seems so many.

oinker · 16/02/2008 10:29

julez.......

so, sorry hun.

I too have had 6 m/c's..... Am on my 7th pregnancy now. Things not going well though. Had brown discharge this morning..No need to explain it all you know the signs
I am dreading the outcome for this one... I just can't keep going on like this...But stopping is so final..It realy scares me to think I will never be a mum...It really breaks my heart thinking about it... it realy can't be doing me any good thinking like this especially whilst i am pregnant...

I am with prof Reagan too. I can't say I rate her too highly. She totally looked down her nose at me cos I was overweight. Really didn't offer much help or advice other than lose weight, get an excercise bike and ride whilst watching TV..
One of her team, Etienne Horner is very good though. He totally disagreed with the weight thing. He said it would be an issue if I was unable to get pregnant but this was not the case. anyway..I have still gone and lost loads of weight. Now have BMI of 29.. Prof reagan still won't consider me for steroid treatment cos she says I am too fat..I have lost loads of weight and she won't even consider me... I put it all down to their hospital results table.
They generally will not see you until after week six of pregnancy. I have had to force my way through when phoning to tell them I am pregnant..I got myself seen this time as I told them I wa unsure of the heparin jabs...

So sorry............why am I ranting....
SORRY............

WHAT IS THE ANSWER..........someone must know why we are suffering like this....

shangrila · 17/02/2008 15:30

Hi jules

I see you're in South Wales. Me too - and 6 lost pregnancies down the line (thankfully one beautiful DD too, before this horrible nightmare took hold.) Slightly different scenario from me as my losses have been mainly chromosomal.

I've only just acknowledged/think we have given up but Mr Beattie at UHW/BUPA is lovely. I don't post too much here but I just wanted to say hi and wish you everything.

Lulumama · 17/02/2008 15:32

sorry to hear that julez, it is not your fault for not taking the aspirin for 5 days... you must not even go down that road

doubly a shame as you had been feeling so grotty and sick too

i hope that you get some more specialist help and get some answers

iMum · 17/02/2008 15:39

Just wanted to offer myself up as well, lost my pregnancy yesterday/today. am gutted was much wanted.
am feeling very alone with it all. i too should be well practised with all this by ow

Julezboo · 02/03/2008 20:26

Thankyou for taking the time to reply to me, after I posted this I went back to the hospital for yet another scan and one baby had died but one was still alive...Since then we lost that baby too

I'm fed up of this happening to me, I love my boys with all my heart, I know I should count myself lucky to have two gorgeous little men. I was shocked when i found out i was preg with this one (2?) now its gone I feel so deflated. I just want to be alone for a while, but I have two boys so I cant.

DP did give me a few hours this afternoon in bed. MC hasnt started yet, Im almost praying for it to start just to get it over with, I dont want to go down teh D&C route because I already have enough scar tissue.

Pondering whether to ask for more tests, even though they know i have the clotting disorder, it worked once why didnt it work this time? Maybe its just down to bad luck. I dunno but I hate having to go through this all the time, I hate the the enjoyment in pregnancy has been taken away from me, I hate that Im still being sick alot

Hi Julez - sorry to hear you're going through this and it has been going on such a long time - no wonder you sound so upset. Have you considered having the medical management as that would at least get things started without needing a D&C? Could your partner give you a bit more time to yourself to try and give you a rest (emotionally as well as physically). It sounds like you still have a few questions and that it might help to find out more / more tests? Really, just to say sorry and good luck.
