Second period after miscarriage

Hi all, looking for people's experience with their second period after miscarriage. Had a miscarriage at 10 weeks last Nov. First period over Christmas and it was horrendous, multiple changes of clothes, bleeding through pads extremely quickly at sudden moments, it lasted for 5 days at that rate and then settled. I was afraid to go anywhere while it was happening.
I am now due my second period any day now but have plans to go see a show that will mean sitting for 3 hours. I'm nervous if I have my period and it is anything like the last. Obviously I will go prepared and double up on products but just wanted to know what people's experience was with theirs? Was it more normal or still extreme for a few rounds.

Hi, so sorry for your loss I know the pain I had a mmc the week before Xmas & still haven’t had my period.. I don’t have any advice on your question however I was wondering how many weeks roughly after your miscarriage did your period come? X

@Mummabear1709 so sorry you have gone through it too. It was just over 4 weeks for it to come, there was only about a week that I wasn't bleeding in one way or another. It is due today but will be interesting to see if it comes or is delayed.

Oh no really, I had surgical management and stopped bleeding about a week after. I passed quite a large clot a week after which I think was left over tissue they hadn’t removed, and since then I’ve had nothing.. hoping yours isn’t as horrendous as your first one! Take care x

I am due my second period this weekend after a MMC and a erpc on Dec 6. My first period was on Jan 9th and while it was a bit heavier it was fine, this second period coming though I have been very ill since Monday past, so 5 days. I have had a swollen stomach, Diarrhoea, nausea and extreme tiredness. I naively hoped it was pregnancy symptoms but no not at all, BFN :(

I then wondered if i had a stomach flu and i dont think so, no one else around me is ill not even nieces or nephews and they are walking bugs. I think it is related to my period coming, i have been worried did something go wrong with procedure, i never ever had period pain before and I am 38. I also had bad doubled over ovulation pain this past month which i also have never had before, i never had even mild ovulation pain before.

So basically i am a bag of worry and on top of that i wonder am i making myself ill with anxiety and worry.

Anyone else experience this or have any idea what it could be?
