So a bit of background

I had a D&C on 2/11/22

7 weeks later 16/12/22 I go to the hospital for a scan as I'm still getting a positive frer. Get to the hospital for a scan and the doctor won't do it because my hospital pregnancy test is negative which the deduced from giving it 30 seconds to develop 🙄 I get home do a frer and still a faint positive but I left it as I know they are super sensitive.

I start bleeding on 20/12/22 for 14 days but it's not a period bleed it's a weird red CM type bleed didn't fill any pads just a liner and when I wiped.

I ovulated 12 days into that bleeding confirmed with bbt and opk

At 8/9/10dpo I get a line on frer but I'm not convinced if it's a faint positive or they are all indents

Evening of 10dpo I start bleeding and period lasts for 7 days. After 7 days I get no bleeding in the day but horrible cramping followed by little blobs of blood every evening.

I'm currently cd12 so have have these cramps for the past 4 nights.

Today had no cramps but was just walking to my bedroom and this just fell out of me

It was very hard and looks like tissue not a squishy blood clot

Anyone got any ideas could it have been leftover from the D&C or something new

EPU are not answering atm but I will keep trying them

I was told after my last miscarriage that if you put it in salt if it's a blood clot then it will dissolve, and if it's tissue then it won't. I can't for the life of me recall who told me that though as it's all a blur, could have been a midwife or could have been an internet random but perhaps put it in salt to see what it is?
Hope you're ok, that must have been quite a shock given you weren't expecting any left over tissue, I knew I probably had some retained placenta after mine and it was still a shock to have the piece fall out of me. Hopefully your cycle will be able to straighten itself out now that's out, whatever it is

@MrsC2018 thanks lovely I flushed it but if it ever happens again I shall remember that. I hope it does it feels like it's gone on forever and ever 🙄 it was a def shock but at least it's not in there anymore just hope there's no more 🤞🏼

Hi,

So sorry for your loss!

This looks exactly like what I passed after I had retained products following a medically managed miscarriage.

I was still getting positive tests and spotting for 6 weeks after taking the medication and so I went for a scan where they confirmed they could see a bit of retained tissue. A week later I passed something what looked like the above and then immediately my body went back to normal, the bleeding stopped and pregnancy tests went negative.

I ovulated two weeks later and actually conceived again! Unfortunately that pregnancy ended as well at 5 weeks but I think it was my body just telling me it wasn’t ready.

Best wishes to you!
