Hi all, I'm new here so a bit about myself. I've been told from the age of 16 I'm in fertile. I was 40 when I took my 1st ever pregnancy test and it was positive, however ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks, got pregnant again at 41 (chemical) and had another positive test a few months later, this time we got to see baby which also had a heart beat but unfortunately stopped growing at 9 weeks. I decided to send what I could of for testing as I was was being referred to the miscarriage clinic.
So yesterday I had my appointment and was told the baby was a girl, and she had chromosome issues 😞 extra chromosome 22. I was offered bloods which I went for but honestly the doctor gave me some hope. I know my age at 42 is obviously a factor but he has said that for some reason now I'm fertile and it's not impossible for it to happen. He did say that when I get another positive test that I will need to start progesterone and asprin. I'm just wondering if any of you ladies have success stories that you could tell me.
