Worried about bleeding after surgery

Hi all, got myself in a bit of a mess tonight. I had surgery 8 days ago for a missed miscarriage, bled on the day of surgery then It stopped. Now started bleeding really heavily yesterday and carried on today with bad cramps, blood is really dark almost black. Did anyone else start bleeding a week after surgery? Is this normal? Worried it means something is left.

Hi, sorry to read this. I had first surgery early December for MMC. Light bleeding started a few days afterwards, never got heavier just a few clots. Positive test after 3 weeks, the first surgery was unsuccessful. I had a repeat procedure last week, no bleeding the first couple of days and now light bleeding again.
Success rates are 95% each time, so it is possible that you're in the 5%.
Keep an eye on it, speak to EPU if you're concerned at the amount of bleeding or pain. Hope it passes soon for you.
