Is this a MMC

Went for my scan today at EPU yolk sac measuring 19mm no baby seen. By LMP I should be 8 weeks she said the sac is measuring 6 weeks 5 days and they expect to see something I ovulated very late day 22 in cycle. Test showed pos on the 15th November.
I have to go back next Friday for a re scan they said 50/50 anyone else been through this thanks

I had a sac with no baby in it, so it's a possibility. I hope it's not, but you seem to be mentally prepared for bad news. Obviously I wish you luck.

What happened with you and how far along we’re you when it happened?

It's impossible to say, I've had both outcomes.

One was MMC - had pain, saw EPU, embryo measured 5w4d which was quite a way behind where I should have been but there was a heartbeat so I was discharged. Went for my scan several weeks later and I'd had MMC.

Second time i hadn't had a period (BFing my eldest) so was referred to EPU to see how far along. Embryo measured 2 weeks behind where I should have been (I'd only dtd once in six months post birth so was pretty sure). I was convinced I'd have another MMC and was told to come back for a second scan to check. Went back and everything had caught up and I went on to have a healthy baby.
Best of luck, it's awful but it is a waiting game. Fingers crossed for you.

You seem about right. The EPU don't want to see me until I am 8 weeks from start of last menstrual period. With a MMC in September that was 6w2d (ovulated CD 26). With scan booked for end of December I should hopefully be 6w3d (ovulated CD 25). I take my ov date as being 2 weeks and add on from there to get estimated gestational age.

If they are not seeing an embryo at that stage though, that would worry me. I saw a heartbeat at 6w3d, but later the pregnancy hadn't progressed at a 9wk scan. So sorry, you are going through this and I really hope you get good news at the next scan!

Thanks I had a private scan today and still no embryo 7 weeks.

I'm so sorry. I don't know how far along I was as I bled on and off for weeks until I passed the empty sac. I thought the pregnancy was long gone. I still mourn that baby although there wasn't one there.

Did they let you just wait it out I would rather have the pessaries ? Is there a reason you couldn’t have that option x

Well I woke up last night drenched in sweat worst it has ever been. Today my sore boobs have gone off loads and brown spotting my body is recognising it now I think two days to the scan but I think I will lose it before that wanted to update and will update again when I know more I’m scared my son has an awards ceremony tonight need to be there 😢

Just wanted to update that I went back to EPU and there was a heartbeat and a baby I was told it’s measuring behind 7 weeks more like 6 I don’t know how my dates are so out but they seem positive about it totally shocked.
