I have a 3 year old son. On the 2nd October 2022 I found out I miscarried at 9 weeks, and had to have a D&C. I never had my period since and was sexually active 2 weeks after D&C. I got bloods done at the doctors on Thursday past, which confirmed my HCG levels were high ( 558) which the doctor said is a new pregnancy. She done repeat bloods on Monday (yesterday ) and today I received the results, they were referred to the early pregnancy unit. My HCG levels are now 502 and the EPU said they want to see me first thing tomorrow for a scan (in their words it’s for my own safety) as because they’ve decreased it’s not a good sign and it’s not going to be a developing pregnancy BUT they said it’s strange that my levels are still in the 500’s even though it’s looking like I’m going to miscarry. I’ll hopefully get answers tomorrow but could this be twins? Could one have died and the other still be growing? Has this happened to anyone before? I’m so confused and so upset.
