Hi there,

I have been diagnosed as having a condition called chronic histiocytic intervillositis (CHI for short). It's a rare condition that affects the placenta. I am wondering if anyone else has this condition and what their experience of it is. I had a miscarriage with first pregnancy, a son with my 2nd pregnancy who is fine, miscarriage with 3rd pregnancy- where CHI was diagnosed and now have had a 4th pregnancy which has ended in miscarriage. Have now been told this condition has a 75% chance of a poor pregnancy outcome. Was wondering if anyone has this condition and if they have managed to go on and have a child. Thanks

Hello! Yes, eventually, via a surrogate, I did have living children. But I had four children who were stillborn before. Here is the main page chisupport.org/ there is also a great support group where you can talk more on Facebook - links are in the website.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I can't begin to imagine how bad that was to go through. I am pleased you found a surrogate. Thank you for the links I will have a look at them. I tried to join the Facebook page but it's always declined as it says I haven't answered all the questions when I have 🙈
