Conceiving after two d&c

I’ve had two d&c this year one being at 17 weeks and another at 14 weeks. Last one was end of July. I’m now stress that I won’t be able to conceive again. Has any had to go through similar and gone on to conceive again and had a happy outcome?

I was so lucky to fall pregnant on the third month of trying for both. I’m now in my tww of my first month trying again so I’m not feeling hopeful at all as I had hardly any ewcm compare to last month and when I fell pregnant the other two times.

Just feel like it never going to happen for me and feeling so useless and down about it all. Plus everyone I know are announcing their pregnancy so I’m feeling even worse.

Hi @Muddydogwalks, I am so sorry you had to go through this. We are in the same boat. I learnt yesterday (at my 12 weeks scan) the baby has stopped growing at week 9. I am devastated as I heart heartbeat at 8 weeks in a private scan. My first pregnancy ended up with same reason in last March.

Yesterday I asked doctor that if having a second D/S would affect the chance of the future pregnancies. She said having a second one does not raise the risks.
I also spoke with my doctor who did my first D/C in my home country and she said she did this operation multiple times (sometimes 10..) to the same person and they are getting pregnant again.
As far as I understand, all D/Cs are independent from each other.

Have you had a check after your second D/C and did they prescribes you antibiotics after operation ?

I am also very anxious and sad about the situation but also hopeful for both of us for our 3rd try. Lots of love..

@Salinger26 thank you for replying and I’m so sorry to hear that you going through the same it’s just heartbreaking.
That has given me some hope that others have managed to conceive after multiple d&c.
I got given antibiotics before and after the procedure and got told I don’t need any checking if I get my period. They say it’s just very bad luck and if happens again they they will put me on a list to investigate.
I truly hope we both get some luck on our side as I can’t bear to go through it all again. We just got to try and keep positive but very hard at times

@Muddydogwalks yes, they said same to me, only bad luck but also this time I felt like they agree with me regarding having a genetic test. of course they mentioned NHS cannot investigate until 3rd time but I saw in their eyes that paying for a private test was not a bad idea (Idk, may be I am just making up).
Dr also said I can ask for thyroid test from my gp, just for your information, it may help..
