What to expect MC at 8 weeks?

Hey all,

I had a private scan at 7 weeks 2 days and saw heartbeat. Sadly this evening I have started bleeding at 8 weeks and 3 days. I am preparing for the worst.
I had a MC at 5.5/6 weeks previously which was like a heavy period. Sorry to post this but was wondering will this be similar/what to expect? Pains are pretty awful right now.

Thanks

I'm sorry you are going through this. I would recommend contacting your nearest early pregnancy unit and they can guide you

Sorry for your loss 😪 i MC at 8 weeks, for me it was just like a normal period with moderate period pains. I went to the EPU and they did a internal scan which confirmed i had lost the baby and it had all come away. Sorry hope thats not too much info. Once again, very sorry x

Thank you. I will call my EPU in the morning.

So sorry to hear this. I recently had a similar experience, miscarried at 11 weeks but baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. For me it was a little more than a heavy period. Took a day or so to build up then started getting crampy. Had about an hour or so of quite intense cramps before passing the pregnancy, which I felt leave my body. I chose not to look at it and just flushed. The bleeding and clots carried on for a while. I hope that helps. I’m sorry again. 💛

I had the worst pain, nothing like a period, and I passed the sac whole.

I needed to alternate cuprofen, and maybe it was naproxen, at the scheduled intervals for about 3-4 days.

Hope everything is okay OP?

Hope you are ok OP. Mine wasn't very painful. Hot water bottle and nurofen helped. Some clots for three days and then passed the sac. My EPU were great hope yours is helpful x

My bleed didn't mean that it was over. I had a SCH. Relatively common.

When I did MC (different pregnancy) around 8 weeks I had a few hours of pain which eased once I had passed the sack then I bled for around two weeks.
