Fourth loss. How can I possibly go through this again?

Hi, just found out I've had my fourth loss. Possible ectopic. Hcg was 2000 two days ago, now 1200. Hoping it passes naturally the next few days without needing any intervention.

I feel so lost and it's hit me more than ever this time. I really thought this would be it for me. 4 losses in a row and just not sure I can keep putting my head and my body through all of this.

Just need someone to talk to right now.

OP I’m so so so sorry. There’s nothing really that I can say but I’m really sorry and I hear you. Big hugs xx

@fourthloss hey , I am so sorry for your loss ! Massive hugs ! I know exactly how you feel , I have had 6 in a row , and still nothing to show for it ! It’s heartbreaking , but you will start to feel numb to it after losing 6 , at least for me anyways 🥺🙏🏻 I am going through IVF right now for my 7 pregnancy hopefully ! Xx

Sending you so much love Op xx

@fourthloss I felt exactly like you every single time I lost a pregnancy thinking can’t put myself through it again ! But time heals and I always end up doing it again and trying again for that tiny piece of hope that maybe next time is different xxx are you taking any medication or have you had testing done for recurrent losses ? What weeks did you lose the pregnancy’s ? We’re they all the same time ? X

I am so sorry for your loss.

I had 3 miscarriages in a row, my fourth pregnancy was successful (I was given cyclogest), so although it feels hopeless now please don’t lose heart.

Be kind to yourself x

@ShareLove all my losses have been around 6 weeks. No sac seen on a scan. I had minor investigations done last one and everything came back fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. Haven't had my ovaries looked into as they said I'm not eligible for IVF on the NHS as I have one child already.

I was put on clomid a few months ago as I don't ovulate without this.

I’m so sorry @fourthloss
What do you mean by minor investigations? Have you taken progesterone for any of your pregnancies?

YoSofi · 10/10/2022 11:05

I agree about asking for progesterone - especially as all losses have been around the 6 week mark.
