Letrozole after a loss?

Hi All,
Sorry for anyone who is going or has gone through a loss - it's very painful! I fell pregnant after 18 months TTC and lost bubz at 7 weeks and still going through a natural M/C but almost at the end of it.
My Doc has decided to put me on letrozole to optimise my hormone levels to hopefully help increase my chances for next conception which he is hopeful should not be a long wait.... Anyone have any experience/recommendations on the same? Hugs to you all x

Hello! I am in a similar position.
About to start my first Letrozole cycle in 2 weeks time.
Not sure what to expect?
we have two amazing boys already, very blessed.
when trying for our third we have sadly had a mmc and chemical loss this year.
🤞🏻For third time lucky!

how are you getting on with the Letrozole?

Hey, ah so sweet!!
what age are your boys? I’ve 2 boys too & they’re great.
I started letrozole, took 2.5mg on day 5+6 of m/c cycle so getting my bloods done this week and the Dr will prescribe once he sees them for next cycle and he agreed to give me the green light to start and medicate next month based on results so hopefully that will start in about 2 weeks.
Even though i’m on a rest cycle it’s all been all over the place so that makes me a bit unnerved but expect thats normal with the m/c.
i’m very sorry about your previous losses and really hope we both get there very soon x

Hey, it sounds like we are in a very similar place. My boys are 8 and 10. My husband hadn’t wanted anymore children then changed his mind last year. I
wish sometimes that he hadn’t. It’s been such a painful time.
My cycles have been very long since coming of contraceptives last august.
I have had some spotting around 7dpo every cycle too which has led me to seek private support.
My gp was no help at all 😞
have you also got a private consultant?

I am waiting for my next period then I will start the Letrozole. I have been given 5mg so I am a bit worried about multiples! 😅
I will have to be scanned this first cycle and see how things go. I am
also being given an hcg trigger shot and progesterone so hopefully end this spotting🤞🏻🤞🏻😅
really hoping that this will work but I have also lost a bit of hope with 2 m/c in a row.

keep me updated on how you get on. Wishing you all the best on your journey!

Gosh, that's been a tough road for you too! It's heartbreaking but you plough on as you've no other choice don't you...
I'm sorry it's been so painful. I am in a bit of autopilot mode and just going through it all but I know if we get our rainbow baby that once he/she arrives I'll reflect a lot on this very tough time. The boys keep me busy (mine are 4 and 5) so I'm grateful for the distraction.
I think private it the way to go, so many things were missed for me on the public system. My bloods for example - I was told everything was fine but on private overview I was lacking/depleted in a lot of areas and they gave me a throughout script to sort that out in the first instance. I am sure the odds will be very much in your favour being both on progesterone and letrozole. I am also taking progesterone and really hope all works out as you hope and dream.

The very best of luck to you x
