Irregular cycles, recurrent miscarriage and ectopic

Hi all

Been feeling a little alone on my fertility journey recently and just wondering if there is anyone in a similar situation to me or has any ideas of what might be going on.

I’ve had 6 pregnancies so far, 1 which resulted in DD but the other 5 resulted in failed pregnancies - 3 miscarriages (4 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks) and 2 ectopics (discovered at 6 and 8 weeks… the second ruptured resulting in loss of a tube).

I have been having various tests, which so far have not revealed anything in particular. I have an ovarian dermoid cyst and a suspected fibroid outside of my womb, but doctors don’t think either will have caused my issues. I’m 35 and have irregular cycles - some months 28 days, others up to 37 days. The month I conceived my daughter was a 29 day cycle so I have wondered if the months I have longer cycles result in poor egg quality, but I’m not sure. My BMI is currently 31 but I have been trying to lose weight.

Has anyone had a similar experience or have any experience of how cycle length can affect pregnancy outcomes? Thanks so much in advance, wishing you all the best xx

Hi lookingforanswers1209,
Just saw this post today. I've had a fairly similar experience so felt I needed to reply! 6 pregnancies - the first one unplanned and uneventful up to emergency c-section (DS is 5). I have had 4 early losses - all at around 5-6 weeks. Polyp found/removed after first two and the last mc happened when I was taking cyclogest. Just had an ectopic pregnancy discovered at 8 weeks and lost the tube. I'm older (39) but probably similar BMI. With the exception of a few months where I was told to take cyclogest from ovulation (which caused my cycles to go all over the place, some extremely long, some extremely short), my cycle is quite regular and on the short side 26/27 days. It was all bad enough but the ectopic was a new level of heartbreak. I hope you are doing ok and that you find some answers!
