Preparing for bad news

Hi, I went for my early scan last week (they estimated I was 6-7wks before I went) but all they could see was a small gestational sac which would indicate a very early pregnancy scan which they felt wouldn’t be accurate and it’s likely a failed pregnancy. I have very irregular cycles and we fell pregnancy via IUI which I didn’t actually have until day 24 as I have bilateral on day 23 of my cycle so I don’t know if that maybe affects my dates??
I have another scan tomorrow but since then I have had very light spotting a couple of times which lasts around 30mins and only noticeable when wiping, I’ve never had any on my underwear. I have also had niggling pains - like cramps but not as severe.
I feel like I should be preparing myself for the worst tomorrow but I just don’t want to give up hope. I hope someone has been in a similar situation and has a positive story to tell…

I’ve also just taken a clearblue digital which has increased to 3+ weeks whereas it was 2-3 weeks the last week when I had my first scan… I’m clinging onto every piece of hope!!
