Feeling unwell after miscarriage

Had a BFP on Sunday and by Wednesday I was bleeding so went to GP and she believes it’s miscarriage and has referred me to EPU for scan. I’ve had heavy bleeding, clotting and tummy ache since so I believe it’s 100% MC. i don’t feel like I need to go for a scan as I’m so sure it’s gone, is a scan necessary?

Also last night and tonight I’ve been feeling pretty unwell. Had a few hot flushes, feel sick, tummy aches still but it’s not in pain just uncomfortable and also feel bloated.. I just don’t feel right. Did anyone else feel like this too?

Sorry to hear you're feeling this way OP Not a doctor, but it sounds like there could be the possibility of an infection from the feelings you've described - I would absolutely be getting the scan to check things over.

I agree, sounds like an infection. If you have a GP out of hours, it would be a good idea to go..

So sorry for your loss OP. I had a similar experience with BFP then bleeding within a few days but it just felt like a really heavy period to me I didn't have hot flushes or feel sick. I agree it's best to check to be on the safe side. All the best x

@tpdwe I had an infection after a miscarriage after the scan showed it had all gone, but it hadn't. I hope you don't but if this helps go to the early pregnancy unit asap and get antibiotics x

I have second infection after miscarriage , the scan showed all is gone. Did they do another scan for you or it passed all naturally?

Sorry for your loss OP but this is why exactly you need to have the scan. If you have any retained products ( horrible expression) you could become very poorly very quickly
