Pain after complete miscarriage

Hi ladies, I have miscarried two weeks ago and still experiencing pain in my lower abdomen,on one side. Ive had an infection too. I finished the course of antibiotics and my bleeding stopped, also pregnancy test is negative but pain and cramps is still strong. Anyone else experiencing the same? Is that normal?

You could phone early pregnancy unit and speak to someone there?

I have phoned epu , they said to call 111, I got an appointment last night at out of hours hospital, I didn't get any answers , examination was 5 minutes long , without scan without bloods, they only checked my urine , my blood pressure was very high , but I was told to monitor my symptoms at home... useless

@ewelb hi so sorry for ur loss 😢 keep pushing if u feel somethings not right I had a missed miscarriage baby’s heart stopped at 8+6 would have been 25 weeks pregnant now still having problems been back and forth to doctors as something didn’t feel right I’m still bleeding and had pain on and off constantly was sent home with antibiotics 3 times for a water infection, told the same to manage my symptoms at home finally got a scan tonight at the hospital after months of pestering & crying and I was right to push for a scan as the miscarriage is incomplete.. hope you get sorted, honestly if something doesn’t feel right keep pushing them to check everything x

I'm very sorry for your loss 😢 and for that horrific experience that you've been through. I had one scan at the beginning and they said all is out. I had infection after and two antibiotics then few days of break , bleeding stopped, tests all negative but few days ago I started spotting again and cramps came back . I couldn't get through to see doctors. Yesterday fever started again. GP didn't have free appointments and they booked me for today. I had some antibiotics that I didn't use , so I decided to take it and temperature is gone now. I'm waiting to be seen. I'm completely wiped out and frustrated. It's so hard to get to doctors, they all blame COVID and shortage of staff.

aw it’s absolutely awful I’m due to fly to Spain on Sunday and now there telling me there’s nothing they can do until I’m back just give me another 2 weeks worth of antibiotics to take while I’m away and some period blockers that I’m not going to take as don’t want to cause anymore problems it’s just m constant worry we go through enough having a miscarriage then when stuff like this happens just makes us feel worse for longer, honestly if my other kids weren’t so excited I would have cancelled my holiday but I can’t do that to them.. hope you get sorted once and for all🤞Sending lots of well wishes..x

Thank you so much, try to enjoy your holiday, I got another course of antibiotics too as my swab showed bacterial infection ,I got reffered for a scan and it can take up to two weeks to be seen 😓I didn't processed emotional aspect of miscarriage because I am so unwell physically. I'm also waiting for my first period and I'm horrified that it can be very heavy and painful, I don't know if I can take it.

I hope you are feeling better and your holidays are going well and you have nice time. Are you still bleeding? Did you have your first period already? How is your HCG testing? Mine is negative for a while now. I was again today at GP, as temperature came back despite of antibiotics but they said my bloods is fine and sent me home. I have to wait two weeks for a scan. I can feel I have something there left but they couldn't find it on previous scan. I keep checking all mum forums for information that I can't get from doctors😅
