What a week it has been... last Wednesday I got a BFP at 11DPO.

On Sunday evening I had some blood, by Monday it was a heavy period bleed, I was 4w6d.

It's now Wednesday evening and getting lighter, still bright red, and I've had small clots plus cramping - nothing unusual for me as I have PCOS and endometriosis. Between last Wednesday and Monday I had minimal line progression, but always had 'Pregnant' on CB digitals.

DH and I have agreed we want to continue to TTC, and not take a break.

So I guess I'm asking what do I do? My GP said take another test in 1 week, so I will on Monday; obviously expecting it to be negative. If it's not, do I need to tell them and possibly require medical attention?

Do I assume this bleed is a period (I started bleeding a few days after AF was due)?

First experience of this and a little lost in navigating things, and help would be really appreciated ❤️

I'm sorry you are dealing with this, I know it can be hard.

Based on my personal experience (not a doctor) I'd say you should have a scan if you are still testing positive after a heavy bleed to rule out ectopic or incomplete miscarriage. I'd also tell your GP if you are bleeding after an extended period as then you might need some medical help - i'm thinking here 3+ weeks but that's just a guess, maybe sooner if you feel unwell. Hopefully it'll be better than either of those scenarios though.

Hi @Polly99, thanks so much for your guidance ❤️ I don't want to pester the GP as know how swamped they are, I just wasn't sure on, well, anything! This appears to be a normal period, given it was a few days late, I'm going to assume it is and hope my cycles aren't impacted. Thank you again x
