Nothing on scan 8 weeks

I should be 8 weeks today, nothing is showing on scans but EPU have said they can now see a pregnancy growing in my uterus but slowly HCG has risen by almost 2000 from Monday to Wednesday.

Has anyone had slow rising HCG and nothing on scan and everything been okay?

Did your HCG double to reach 2000? If it did, its most likely your dates were wrong and the pregnancy is only in its 4th/5th week.

I believe from 1500 hcg the gestational sac can usually be seen this would be around the 4-5 week mark.

@Maybeonedayeventually on Monday they were at 3760 and Wednesday 5532. I had scans on both days and yesterday x

It sounds like you're a month out- did you have a positive test early on or are you assuming 8 weeks by your last period?

What did they see on the scan?

At roughly 4-5wks sac
5wks yolk
6wks fetal pole
6-7.5wks heartbeat

With that HCG you wouldn't expect a heartbeat but we're all different

They saw absolutely nothing on the scan! Only yesterday they said they could see a white lining where a pregnancy should be.

So I'm 8 weeks today since LMP, I got my first positive 4 weeks ago tomorrow, I was hoping I was just early but I'm not sure how to work it out x

Really sorry to say this, but not being able to visualise an intrauterine pregnancy at all with a hcg of 5k isn't looking promising. 😔

I had an ectopic and it took 3 scans to pick it up, or it can be the delightfully named 'pregnancy of unknown location'

I really hope you have a positive outcome, we are all different and hcg levels are far from set on stone

I agree I don't think it is progressing well, they thought it might be in my tube but the. Said it was the corpus leuteum, I have another scan on Thursday that I hope will make things more clear, sorry to hear about your ectopic x

@Handmaid2019 I'm okay still no pain or bleeding, just hanging in there until Thursday I don't really have any symptoms only tiredness and a bad headache I get heartburn now and again but that's all x
