TTC After 3rd Chemical Pregnancy

I'm living in the UK and currently going through my 3rd Chemical Preganncy in 3 months. My Dr is no help but the hospital said they can refer me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic/specialists.

I have endometriosis that was diagnosed 2 yrs ago, I was told at that moment in time it wasn't affecting my fertility. I was on birth control for 6yrs straight (no breaks) which I stopped just after my diagnosis.

I've been doing lost of research, I'm starting baby asprin, switching to l-methylfolate based prenatal vitamins, adding foods into my diet to help stimulate progesterone levels etc. I've also heard things about yam supplements and white peony?

Has anyone got any other tips on what I can look into, or success stories to keep me going? What did you try differently when you concieved?

I don't want to loose hope but I want to try again and know I've done everything I could before I get referred.
Thanks, Amy

It can be so incredibly worrying when these things happen. Looks like you’ve already been doing lots of research yourself which is great. I often run additional tests for people in your shoes because I want to get an in depth picture of things that can impact the progression of a pregnancy including nutrient deficiencies, genetics, the thyroid and the sperm.

I recorded a podcast episode last year talking about three tests the nhs is not yet running to investigate miscarriage.

You can find it here or by searching for the Fertility and the First 1,000 Days podcast on any platform. This particular episode is number 33.

Hope you find it useful. Feel free to get in touch. All my details are displayed on my more recent episodes with clickable links x

I'll be in the same boat as you next month as we start TTC again after 3 chemical pregnancies.

I had a private scan (all clear except a tiny polyp) so that took a load off my mind. That's something I'd recommend, only cost me about £90 and it looked at my ovaries, shape of my uterus, uterine lining etc.

It's also been recommended that my husband takes zinc, and I've started using natural progesterone cream.

Fingers crossed for the both of us!
