Suspected missed miscarriage

I miscarried twins back in the end of March, fell pregnant beginning of June. Went for a private scan on the 5/07/22 which from my last period I should of been 7 weeks. The sonographer told me that I was too early and could only see a sac and yolk.. went back two weeks later and there was only a sac, yolk and fetal pole, no heart beat. Got referred to the hospital. They did a scan and confirmed they saw the same.. because it’s under 7mm I have to wait 10-14 days for another scan to confirm a missed miscarriage (no symptoms of miscarriage). They gave me progesterone suppositories 800mg a day for the next two weeks until we have the scan.
anyone else had the same and it’s been positive?
I’m crying every day because I know I’m my heart it’s most likely not going to have a heart beat and it’s going to be a long 2 weeks.

They also warned me I’d have heavy vaginal discharge but today it’s like chewing gum? I’m not sure if it’s normal or not.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, the limbo land is just horrifically hard. I haven't been in your place but didn't want to read and run. I'd ring your EPU if you're concerned or have questions. Hoping it's good news for you when you get to your scan.

I can understand your situation and the torture that is the waiting period.

I had a missed miscarriage - I’m in the process of completing the miscarriage having taken misoprostol on Sunday.

I wanted to reach out because at times like this we need to know we’re not alone and that you will get through this. Thoughts are with you

Didn’t want to leave without saying the waiting is awful and sorry you’re going through this. 💐

My sister has just been through the same thing in the last two weeks. She went for a scan and they could only see a sac but no foetus. She went back two weeks later and there was a little baby with a heartbeat! It really could just be that your dates are slightly out, my sister thought she was 7 weeks but was only 5 which is why they didn't see anything. It's normal from my understanding to be out by a week or two, I'm a week behind what I thought I was but I've seen my baby twice. I hope this helps, I know it's easier said than done but please try not to worry. I'm on the pessaries too, they can be messy so be warned!

I’d be out by 3 weeks +.. I don’t think it’s possible tbh. Means I’d of been 1 week when I got my positive test. It does confuse me how it’s all worked out ngl.

on note of the pessaries I’m soo so sore from them it’s giving me like grazes from how sore I am, is this normal? I don’t like to mither but I think I’m going to ring EPAS tomorrow to double check. It hurts even just putting them in.

only one more week to go until I’m out of limbo and I know what’s going to happen with everything.

@cassiejasmine I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Are you on Cyclogest or Crinone?

cassiejasmine · 13/07/2022 22:25

They’re called Utrogestan vaginal 200mg.. 2 tablets morning and night. So 800mg a day.

@cassiejasmine Pity, they can only be taken vaginally, you’re probably a bit sensitive to the contents. If you ask for Cyclogest 400mg they can be inserted in the rectum and are much easier to cope with.

So sorry your going through this. I am currently waiting the 2 weeks after seeing no heartbeat :-( I am sure of my dates so holding out no hope. Don’t know what to do with myself during this time. What was the outcome for you?

cassiejasmine · 26/07/2022 07:50

i had medical management last Thursday to help me miscarry. No heart beat still.
So sorry you’re having to go through this. Fingers crossed for you ❤️
