I'm still bleeding 4 weeks after miscarrying at 6 weeks. When the miscarriage started I had heavy painful bleeding which slowly slowed down. Then in the evening if id been quite activity during the day cramps would start and bleeding would come with a pain inside like my cervix was agitated.

I’m being monitored weekly of my HCG levels until they return to 0 which seems to be taking quite a long time and was informed by the nurse that bleeding will continue until I’ve reached 0 it’s absolutely draining. I also have a Daughter and work. My energy levels are next to none i tier very easily and standing/walking for long periods causes cramping.

You should see somebody. There still might be remains left in your uterus that you may need medication or surgery for! I'm so sorry for your loss btw. Take care and please get seen to!

I bled for about 5-6 weeks after a mc at 5 weeks. There was nothing wrong, just took a long time for everything to move out. It wasn't heavy bleeding though. I was being monitored about 1/week by the EPU via blood test. Maybe ask for that?

Hi are you okay? I'm so sorry you're going through this...and on top of that having to wait for everything to pass...it will end soon...these days will pass...I know how tough it is especially with young kids...

Thank you for your reply’s, I’m currently being monitored by EPU every week to monitor my HCG levels. They’re very low only 68 now- Today I had contraction like pains and bleeding with other things that I won’t mentions as not very nice. The bleeding seems to of tailer off for today at least. I do have retained tissue which is why as the nurse advised my HCG level is 68 as it’s detecting the remains. I just didn’t expect for it to go on for as long as what it has, I don’t remember bleeding this long after I gave birth when I had my Daughter.

Hi so sorry to add on to this post I don’t know how to create my own? I’m currently going through a miscarriage. Our first baby after 7 years of trying, I should have been 9 weeks 4 days but was measuring 7. I had to have medical intervention, which went wrong I ended up back in and they had to use forceps while I was awake and no pain relief. Ever since then the bleeding has been heavy, I’m wearing adult nappies to hold the flow. Can anyone recommend anything to slow it down at all??? I’m absolutely drained….. thank you x

I can advise you I’m afraid as I was offered nothing to help with the flow, Dr prescribed iron tablets and my iron levels were monitored by the hospital incase I needed to stay in for their monitoring. Do you have an early pregnancy department at your local hospital that you can speak to for advice? They really should be monitoring you at least your pregnancy levels to make sure nothing is retained from the pregnancy as can cause infection
