Help, possible missed miscarriage

Looking for any advice or similar experiences please.. I’m loosing my mind 😓I went for a scan on Sunday.. I should’ve been 7+2 weeks, the day before I had some light brown spotting, went for the scan with a pit in my stomach and was told that baby was only measuring around 5/6 weeks, yolk sac and fetal pole but no heartbeat. I know my dates and there’s just no way that can be possible so I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m experiencing a missed miscarriage, the brown spotting has continued since Saturday and doesn’t seem to be easing up. I’m due to return for another scan this Saturday and I don’t have high hopes therefore I’ve been doing some research as to what options I have once we know what’s going on. I am booked in at EPU on Monday morning. Has anyone experienced similar circumstances? If a missed miscarriage is the case I think I would want MVA under local anaesthetic, if you have had this, how long did it take for them to get you booked in and how was your recovery? This is my second pregnancy, my first was textbook so this has been an awful experience, it’s like torment currently as my tests are still dye stealers and I still have awful nausea and generally feel pregnant 😣

any help, support or advice would be so greatly appreciated. If anyone also has any stories of successfully conceiving after a similar experience, that would be nice to hear too xxxx

Hi,

First off I'm so sorry this happened to you. I myself have had 2 miscarriages this year. One End of January and my second the end of may, they were both missed miscarriages. The first time I have the D&C operation and was in and home the same day, the recovery for me personally physically was 2 weeks. I had to wait 3 days for the operation. My second I had medical management and I was in hospital for over 24hrs and had bleeding for almost 3.5 weeks after. Xxx

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through! I had two miscarriages last year , one at 10 weeks and the other at 8. Both times I had a D&C under general anaesthetic. The recovery is quick and I just felt that mentally I wanted it that way so I could start to process what had happened, whereas medical management could involve weeks of bleeding and just felt like it was prolonging it. To give you some hope I’m sitting next to my gorgeous bundle of joy!
sending you lots of hugs and strength to get through it x
