Is it another miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage last year. Pregnancy symptoms suddenly stopped at 5weeks, bloody discharge and spotting week six seven and then miscarried at eight. I’m now pregnant again. I’m six weeks five days. Had some pink/brown staining last week along with sudden disappearance of pregnancy symptoms. Breast tenderness gone, nausea gone, I could smell everything and now that’s back to normal. I haven’t had any spotting since last week though. Is this another miscarriage?

Sending some love.. Im in a similar position at 6 weeks 4 days. Im praying its implantation bleeding, its a good sign bleeding has stopped tho.. Are you getting any cramps? Have u spoken to a doctor or anyone?

Haven’t seen anyone yet. I’m praying I don’t have to. My doctor last time was very, “nothing you can do anyways” which is true, but at the time very dismissive. The early pregnancy unit were great last time, but I had to go to a&e in order to get to them and last time there was more bleeding. The night before the symptoms disappeared (last week) I had massive cramps which sent me to the loo multiple times with diahrea (sorry for the tmi) but no cramps as such since, some pain twinges inside the tummy area but nothing cramp like.
It’s just last year, I felt pregnant at the beginning. It was how I felt this year and when I had my first baby ten years ago, then last year the symptoms disappeared and I just did not feel pregnant anymore and it’s the same now. I suppose it’s a wait and see scenario but my mind is in overdrive. Thank you for replying, sending love to you too. It’s limbo at the mo x

Its difficult being in this situation, if you want try ringing your GP they can also refer to EPU. I know symptoms going and coming is very normal, and no signs of blood and cramping seems positive but i guess the unknowing and your own experience and feelings makes it more anxiety provoking. If you feel u can wait see how things go for another week otherwise i would suggest ring GP. I couldn't wait so waiting for my GP appointment this afternoon x

If the "not knowing" is something you're finding hard to deal with, you could book a private scan.
They should see a heartbeat at this stage.

Fingers crossed for you OP, I had a mmc in Jan and it was awful :(

Nobody can say, but for me this is how my I miscaried. Strong symptoms, woke up one morning and had all disappeared, I started minor bleeding a week later which progressed. Good luck op

MissMaple82 · 28/06/2022 14:52

The bleeding was also on and off until it was full on

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies. I decided to go for an early scan. I had the scan today. As my lmp was 13th May, and my first positive pregnancy test was 12th June, the scan clinic said I should be around 7weeks 4days. The scan revealed a pregnancy of six weeks 1day. There was a flicker of a heartbeat, so that’s good! The dates though have confused me… I’m delighted to see heart beat after being so worried but still I’m concerned as baby is measuring ten days smaller? Xxx

Good news about the heartbeat.. I also had my last period on 13th may, when i went for my early scan they dated me few days behind so as of today im 7 weeks. I was told its quite nothing of concern and sometimes its ovulated or implantated late than we think or sometimes baby catches up in growth few weeks later (especially this early in pregnancy) Are you still spotting? And have they offered a follow up scan? 💕

Flittingaboutagain · 06/07/2022 20:12

That's good news. When my foetus was measuring small it was an early indication something wasn't right and the pregnancy naturally stopped progressing shortly after the scan which I discovered at 12 weeks unfortunately. I struggle with scans for that reason as they only actually tell you what's happening today. All you can do is take care of yourself and hope for the best.

Nornirishmum · 07/07/2022 01:42

Thank you both. The little heartbeat was lovely to see today. I really hope it’s a case of ovulating late. I average out as a 28 day cycle but in reality I go between a short cycle one month, say 27 days and the next month is a long cycle 30days… maybe my ovulation varies too.
The spotting has stopped, and some breast tenderness has returned. It’s not the same ache that was before and the nausea hasn’t returned. Hoping all good signs. They said I could rebook for reassurance, but I have a midwife appt on Monday morning so I’ll talk to her first before I do anything. @blibbyblobb has your spotting stopped too?

Glad to hear the scan went well.

DS measured over a week behind at early scans but caught up by the 12 week scan, and this pregnancy I measured two weeks behind! I was convinced something was wrong and spent two weeks after my 12 week scan very anxious.

The gap has shortened to 10 days now, and the 20 week scan was perfectly fine.

I think I ovulate late and make slow growing babies Confused

Also had a complete loss of symptoms at 6 weeks first time around, and they just never really came back. Wished for that this pregnancy when symptoms were bloody awful from 6-14 weeks.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope the next few weeks are smooth and uneventful for you until your next scan! Flowers

Thats great to hear 😊😊.. Mines on and off mostly brown/dark red.. It started again yesterday then stopped. Im thinking of booking a private scan sometime next week as i know my EPU department will be like if its not bright red, clotting or severe cramps they won't really see me
