Complete molar pregnancy- terrified

Hi all,

I’m new to Mumsnet and so sad that this is my first thread because I used to use this site to once check my pregnancy symptoms were seeming ok before discovering I had a complete molar pregnancy. Originally at a private scan a pregnancy of unknown location was discovered and I was referred to my local EPU. After another scan, PUL was again discovered and my hcg level was 226,000- this is when ‘molar pregnancy’ was mentioned.

I had an emergency op the following day and the first week my bloods dropped to just 5,319 followed by 3,750 the following week and then had risen at the third week to 6,647. The hospital monitored me closely and took more bloods 3 days later where my bloods had increased to 8,702. It has now been decided that I will head to Charring Cross Monday for treatment and I am absolutely petrified. Can anyone share their experience and help me stay positive please 😔.

Hi I didn't want to read and run. I hope you're okay and get more answers from people who have been through similar. Here for the handhold. You're not alone.

Hi, How did you or how are you getting on with treatment? Really hope things are going ok for you.
I have only just joined mumsnet myself, so few people know much about molar pregnancies I just felt I needed to join a site where other people have experienced similar. I had an ERPC on 10th Oct due to suspected molar pregnancy. Today I had a call from the hospital consultant to say the histology report had confirmed full molar so now I’m just waiting to be transferred into the care of Sheffield specialist molar unit.
Sending best wishes, really hope things are improving now for you xx
