When did period return after MMC 16weeks+

Last month I had a MMC at 18 weeks (baby's heart stopped at 16 weeks). I had medical management and delivered my son. Two weeks later pregnancy tests returned negative so I assume my hcg levels have returned to 0. And the bleeding stopped completely 2 weeks 4 days after i delivered. There is no clear sign as yet as to when my period will arrive. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a MMC around the same gestation or later and when their period returned. Or if they were able to become pregnant straight after before their period arrived.

I am so very sorry for what you've been through and the loss of your son.

When it happened to me, my first proper period was after about 4 weeks when the bleeding from the miscarriage had stopped.

So sorry for your loss. I went through similar a couple of months ago, I had a MMC at 17 weeks. Like you I bled for 2-3 weeks afterwards and then two weeks after that my period arrived. So around 4 and a half weeks after delivering. Take care of yourself x
