How soon for pregnancy after MMC

Hi

I had a miscarriage last month at 9 1/2 weeks. Had scan on 18/05 & no heartbeat, baby only measuring 7 weeks. Had the surgical procedure in the Fri, 20/05. Bleeding wasn't heavy & lasted about a week.

We've had sex since the surgery on 28/05 & 04/06 & couple more times after, but obviously I don't know when I will ovulate again or if I already have since the surgery.

I was told to do a PG test after 3 weeks so I did one Wednesday which was negative. Don't know why but decided to do another today & very faint line. Could this still be left over HCG from the previous pregnancy or could it be a new one this early?

I've read lots in how soon you can get pregnant after & lots says it can sometimes happen quickly after a miscarriage but is it too soon? Has this happened to any of you ladies?

so sorry for your loss, it is heartbreaking. I had a mmc at 9 weeks (baby stopped growing at 7) last month too. I took medical management tablets on 24th May and passed everything that night. A scan 9 days later confirmed everything had passed and a negative pregnancy test 2 weeks after I took the tablets.

I don’t have a pregnancy story as that was my first, however I did start tracking ovulation for the first time after the miscarriage, partly as I am desperate to be pregnant again but also just want to know what my body is doing.

My cycles were previously 26-32 days long so not quite regular, but based on when we conceived the baby I must have ovulated around day 17.

I got a positive on clear blue advanced ovulation stick and cheapie ones yesterday, so it’s definitely possible to ovulate fairly soon after the miscarriage (mine was a bit later than usual on cd22).

Have you noticed any other symptoms at all?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had an almost identical situation, lost the pregnancy at 8 weeks and then tested a few weeks later and was getting a faint positive. I had no idea if I was newly pregnant or if it was leftover hormones. Turned out I was pregnant! No period in between. That baby is now eight years old!

I had a MMC on 25th September and am about to have period today or tomorrow from tracking my cycle. Mine regulated pretty quickly and I still ovulated within my normal time, albeit towards the end of my usual fertile window. Usually CD 21-26, but was CD 27 this cycle and CD 26 on the previous MMC cycle. The medical management really helped reset things for me.

Hi guys. Just asking if anyones had anything similar - bad or good endings. - i am so beyond confused and heartbroken atm i don't know what to think.

We miscarried at 12 weeks 3 weeks ago - i had surgery and my bleeding stopped the next day (20th of December)

Me and my partner have been sexually active since the 27th (soon for some i know but going on to try again is the only thing seeming to get us through this)

I had a negative test 14 days after the miscarriage - Fast forward to last night and today i’ve had very faint positives, two at home and one at the doctors (i did one because i had what felt like implantation pain) - i have NO idea whats going on but the GP doctor has referred me back to EPAU.

They said one of two things, the negative was false and my HCGs are still coming down OR a very very very early new pregnancy.

I have a scan on friday to confirm whether there was anything left from the surgery still causing a positive (which is unlikely) and a blood test to see my HCGs.

Has anyone experienced this before? Surely its way way too soon to know if i’m pregnant again? And surely they would know if they left something behind and i would have had other symptoms like infection etc if this was the case? So a possible false negative and HCGs coming down i reckon?

Beyond confused and this glimmer of hope of a new pregnancy or the horror of something still being there from the miscarriage is going to feel like i’ve lost the baby twice if its a bad outcome.

I wish waited for my first cycle but i am so desperate for a baby and i can’t think of anything else.
