Second missed miscarriage

I have just had another confirmed missed miscarriage, my second in 5 months.

I don't know why I'm even writing this. Everything just feels so pointless.

I have a D&C booked in so now it's the waiting game to see whether anything happens naturally before then.

Fucking hell it's just so unfair.

I had my scan yesterday at 13+4 and missed miscarriage, dont know when it happened. Its so unfair and the worst feeling not having any indication of it. Nothing i can say other than i know the pain. Sending you love ❤️ x

Thank you and I'm so sorry for your loss also.

It's just so shit.

It is awful 😖 xx

Sorry to hear this. It is awful. I have had 2 as well and 2 regular miscarriages and the missed ones definitely seem worse. Take care of yourself.

I am so sorry 😞I am coming to the end of mine now.
I am here if you want to talk 💐

Thanks all. Yesterday I wanted to rail & shout. Today I want to know how the hell I'm ever going to have a second child.

I took cyclogest this time around, I also take medicine for ulcerative colitis and am starting to worry there is something autoimmune at play.

I am also going o have a second d&c on Tuesday and I am really worried about scarring to my uterus.

I have been offered chromosomal tests for the miscarriage (I hate that term - yesterday it was still my baby) and blood tests for me. I know I am fortunate as I have only (!) suffered 2 mmc's.

Any positive stories will be helpful. I am almost 38.

That is good that you are getting some tests after the 2. I had 2 miscarriages and got testing as well as I was already being seen at the fertility clinic. I was put on a low dose clomid (although I was ovulating but to spur it on I think) and then had 3 children before the next 2 miscarriages. I had mine at 36, 38 and 39 so not young. I think the hard thing is that miscarriage is so common you just dont hear so much about it until you have them. Hopefully its not an autoimmune condition but if it is then hopefully something will help.

Hey,
In similar boat to you. 2 mmcs last year, on Aug and one Dec.
Natural mc 3 weeks ago at 9 weeks.
I have autoimmune diseases, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and a possible autoimmune kidney disease. I think there is a definate autoimmune link with my miscarriages.
This time I took asprin 150mg and prednisolone 10mg. High dose omega 3 and vit d.
I get pregnant 1st try everytime, think I have a 'unfussy womb' also which is linked to your immune system.

I am currently awaiting blood results for antiphospholipid syndrome. Thyroid and diabetes test fine. Have been referred to gynaecology but I am also going to get a private consultation for opinion.
Have no children.
I'm 30 so have a bit of time, myself and husband are taking the next 9 months to 1 year , strict anti inflammatory diet- mediterranean. No gluten. No junk. Low carb , need to shift 2 stone.Taking supplements to improve egg quality but need to give them long enough - eggs take 4 months to mature.
Next time I will take aspirin and prednisolone low dose again. Will try and get progesterone next time too. Also if I have antiphospholipid syndrome will ask for blood thinning injections. Need to wait on results though.

Thanks all. Due at the hospital at 7am for a D&C but have been miscarrying naturally all day. Dreading the next 6 hours.

@Needsomeadvice33 I'm so sorry for your losses. I have IBD and suspected Ehlers Danlos, so there may be an autoimmune link too. I took progesterone during this pregnancy, but due to blood clots in other pregnancies I was advised against baby aspirin.

@sunscreenandsaltwater thinking of you today and I hope you don’t need the D & C.
Take care and drink plenty 💐

ps, I also think a threat centred on autoimmune could be really useful.
