Hi new to mumsnet :) just wanted to share my story and see if anyone had been in a similar situation.

On 22/04/22 I found out I was pregnant (lots of test to confirm as it was such a shock) that night I started spotting brown, I’ve heard this is normal when looking at my dates from my LMP I would have been 6 weeks I booked an early scan for the Monday 25/04/22 for some reassurance they couldn’t see anything and said the lining was thick but I would only be 6 weeks if I had a 28 day cycle ( my cycles are different every month from 28-35 days). So I am going back on the 15/05/22.

On Saturday 30/04/22 I start bleeding lightly rang EPU they said as long as it wasn’t as heavy as period and no pain this was okay, I was going to greece on the Tuesday (still here now). The spotting seemed to stop and on Friday 6/5/22 I had slight cramps nothing horrendous and again a light bleed nothing like a period, I lost a slug type thing I believe is a clot it was red and a few cm long. After this came out the bleeding stop and I’ve had nothing since.

I have my scan on Sunday when I return home just wondering if anyone has had anything similar hopefully a positive outcome? I still have pregnancy symptoms such as sickness and I’m thinking if I had miscarried it would have been more painful and heavy not one clot?

I’ve done nothing but google to find similar stories this whole holiday!

I'm so sorry you're going through this and on holiday too. You can definitely bleed in pregnancy and be fine but there is no way to know until your scan. Not to be negative, but please brace yourself for the worst and also know that they won't necessarily be able to diagnose a miscarriage after one scan, it can need repeating a few days/weeks later, the limbo sucks.
