Hi all, this is my first time posting although I’ve been reading on here so much to help me these last couple of months.
I had a late miscarriage at 21 weeks 8 weeks ago which I had misoprostol for the delivery. I gave birth to my baby girl within 12 hours and was discharged. I was then readmitted passing placental tissue and heavy bleeding a few days later and I they said some bits of my placenta must have stayed in.
I had more misoprostol and passed more placenta and had some antibiotics and was sent home. Bleeding overall lasted about 4 weeks.
I thought it was all over however the last 2 weeks I have been bleeding again (thought it was my period) but it got so heavy I went back into hospital. They have done bloods and a scan which revealed 2.4cm area of RPOC but my HCG level is 5.
I have been offered either more misoprostol or surgical management with either MVA or D&C. Has anyone had a similar experience and can offer advice? I just desperately want this to be over and worried about future pregnancies etc.
