I had an mmc followed by d&c in 2019 and waited a full cycle before trying again. It took us a further 7 months then conceived our wee boy who is now 19 months.

We've now been trying over a year for #2 (

I had an mmc followed by d&c in 2019 and waited a full cycle before trying again. It took us a further 7 months then conceived our wee boy who is now 19 months.

We've now been trying over a year for #2 and I've just had another mmc (discovered at 8+5, baby had stopped developing at 8+0).

We want to start trying again asap and I've heard so much conflicting advice - can we start trying as soon as we get a negative test?

We started as soon as I stopped bleeding after my surgical management (not sure if that's the same as a D&C). I had 4 MC including 3 MMC. But it generally takes me a long time to get pregnant, so I was keen to get going again ASAP.

Thanks for your reply, really sorry to hear about your losses. All the info I can find online is about medical management not about d&c so hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on that xxx

I had a d&c back in 2009. We were told to wait for one natural cycle and then we could start ttc again. But that was 12 years ago, so the advice may well have changed.

@1viewoftrees I believe as long as your bleeding has stopped and there are no medical reasons why you can’t. You can start straight away regardless of d&c or medical management etc etc.

i had medical management a week ago. Was 10 weeks only measuring 6 with a hb that then stopped.

i am at the end of bleeding but it’s tapering off. But very bold pregnancy tests still. Think it will be a couple of weeks before there out my system and then who knows on ovulation.

im keen to get going though. Took 11 cycles to get this pregnancy. Longest it’s ever taken me and I’m fearful it will take as long again.
its so hard isn’t it. I thought we’d finally got there. To just have it all taken away.
