Period with hcg in system

Hi all. I’m just after some experiences. I had miscarriage last month. No heartbeat so was given tablets on the 24th March, miscarriage happened on 25th. Bleed for 8-9 days afterwards and then everything completely stopped. Since weekend my boobs started to become sore etc period symptoms coming back. Monday seemed it started however stopped; by Wednesday I started to become curios about implantation. So I took a cheap test. Came back positive straight away, quite a dark line, took another one the next morning and then a clear blue test stating 2/3 weeks. Now I know that couldn’t be possible as we only became active again 2 weeks ago. Anyway started bleeding like my period 2 hours after taking the clear blue. Everything I read says It can’t be a period of my HCG levels are still high. So my question is just has anyone else experienced this as the only thing I can think of is the miscarriage wasn’t complete. I have a scan booked for Monday but this rollercoaster is absolutely breaking me I can’t take much more and need real life experiences. It’s made so much harder as this is my second miscarriage since October and my due date from first one is in 2 weeks so I’m all over the place. Thanks in advance ❤️

Sorry for your losses

I had a strong positive six weeks after a miscarriage. I tested because the bleeding that I assumed was my next period had been going on for two weeks. It had been an IVF pregnancy so not a chance that it was a second pregnancy.
Scan revealed no pregnancy so it was, unfortunately, just HCG from the IVF pregnancy.

I'm sorry you have to wait until Monday for a scan and it’s all happening so close to your previous due date.

Thank you for your reply. I’m so sorry for what you have been through too. It’s just so confusing. You think it’s all over and can move forward and then it just comes back around to kick you in the teeth again 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’ve had to push for a scan. I couldn’t get through to a doctor they wouldn’t deal with it, the early pregnancy unit just told me to wait a week and re test. Like the waited wasn’t bad enough the first time around to be told there was still no growth. I chose the tablets because I had already waited 2 weeks with no progression. I was so relieved when it was over and now it seems it’s not still. I just need to move forward now x

I had a positive pregnancy test for 4/5 weeks while bleeding too and was surprised as it was the opposite of what the general advice seemed to be.

@AccommodatingAlice how long did you end up bleeding for in the end for that period? I’m at 3 weeks and hoping every day that todays the day it stops. I feel like I’m going to go straight into my second period before it finally stops X

So I had the scan this morning. They can see something there. They’re unsure if it is remaining tissue (but said it doesn’t look like that) or some sort of anomaly(i don’t even know what that means) 🤦🏽‍♀️ I have to go back Thursday for yet another scan with the consultant. I was hoping that today would put an end to it 😭

I’m updating this incase anyone else is looking for answers because I find a lot of the time is not many people update their progress or situation and it can help someone reading through. So I went for my scan today with the consultant who didn’t end up scanning me, she told me based on what the scan Monday shows, It’s all still there. Sac etc now I know this is impossible as I saw the sac etc so I told her this and showed her the picture. She was shocked and agreed I had passed it. She doesn’t think it’s a new pregnancy due to only miscarrying 5 weeks ago so wanted me to have the procedure straight away to remove whatever is in there. However I have refused to have it done until I can be certain that it is. Or a new pregnancy as they would only see the sac at 4 weeks anyway so I am booked for a scan on Wednesday and if it isnt infact a new pregnancy I will stay in and have the procedure Thursday morning. Its a long shot but I can’t just get rid of something if there is a possibility It could be a new pregnancy
