Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can help me or has gone through the same that I’m currently going through. At an early scan at 6 weeks I was told I was having identical twins, modi twins. Separate sacs but share the same placenta. I then booked a private scan at 10 weeks to see them as I’m just very anxious, I was told during this scan that one of the babies has skin edema around the body and she advised me to get in touch with the hospital which I did, I had a meeting today and the consultant confirmed this and said that baby number 2 isn’t likely going to make it but because the twins share the same placenta the other one is now at risk, as anyone lost an identical twin and gone on to have a healthy baby?
Feel like I’m going crazy!
