Hello everyone
I recently went through a miscarriage on the 8th of this month I found out and chose to get medical help as it had been a week already and no signs of anything happening. I was 10+3 when I found out but the baby was measuring 8-9 weeks.
I took some OPKs and pregnancy tests today. I expected the pregnancy test to come out positive as it's not even been over 10 days since I started bleeding. But one of the opks came out blazing positive?
Green is one step OPK
Blue is HCG
Pink is femometer OPK (my go to)

Is it even possible to ovulate while there is hcg present?

The hCG in your system will bring out a positive on an OPK. I just had this too, and Google and mumsnet are in agreement that this is the case unfortunately Sad

I’m so sorry for your loss, I hope you’re ok xx

I'm doing okay, it's just so rubbish
I did the pink opk first and almost got excited until I saw the hcg test and decided to try the other brand. Just so cruel to see the test still positive.. just a reminder of the baby I never got to meet.
I have no idea what to expect or how long it will take for the test line to disappear
I guess everyone is different right

It really is shit. I had an MVA for a missed miscarriage 3 weeks ago tomorrow, the consultant said to call them if I am still testing positive after 3 weeks, she was almost certain I wouldn’t be as she had cleared everything from my womb. I took a test on Friday and it was still positive, so I’m not holding out much hope for a negative in the morning. But reading on here it seems more “the norm” to take longer than that, so I don’t know what to think. Cruel is exactly how I have been describing it, it just feels a kick in the teeth and like it will never be “over”. It’s also such a headf*ck longing for that negative test after longing for a positive. I think you just feel so stuck and so unsure of your body, it’s awful x

@rmummyofone - just wanted to let you know. I had a scan today as I’m still testing positive 3 weeks after the surgery. I told her I had niggling pains in my RHS before she even started scanning, told her it felt like ovulation pains (we both laughed it off knowing it’s probably not possible with a positive test). She scanned me and confirmed I was ovulating! She could see the eggs and everything. So it is actually possible to ovulate whilst having HCG in your system. She couldn’t even explain why or how, she just said it’s science and there’s lots we still don’t know! Xx

I was honestly shocked! I knew what the pains felt like yesterday but thought my brain was playing tricks on me. But I just wanted to hopefully give you a bit of positivity that the positive tests aren’t necessarily a sign that your body isn’t getting back to normal. I hope you’re feeling ok xxx
