Threatened Miscarriage

Hello,

Guess I don’t really have a question just looking for advise or people stories and similar experiences.

I’m am (possibly was) 6w5days pregnant, last week I had a couple days brown/pink discharge, was told not to worry this is normal and only be concerned if red and with pain. On Friday in the morning I had brown sticky (sorry if tmi) almost like when ovulating discharge, concerned I rang my GP told not to worry but will be booked in for early scan with EPU following Tuesday. Later Friday evening I went to toilet and saw red blood, half an hour later I felt a gush, I went to toilet and was passing huge clots and what seemed to me was massive amounts of blood (one pad being filled in minutes, online said if filling more than one or two pads every hour go hospital) so I went straight to hospital, after 8 hours (by this time my pants where soaked in blood) I was told probably a threatened miscarriage and still have to wait til Tuesday for early scan and further blood test to find out if I have miscarried or not. Is this normal even though I was massively bleeding and had clots you still have to wait 4 days to find out! It’s taking a massive toll on my mental health! I’m now on Sunday so two more days/nights in limbo of not knowing, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst! Online says there 82% chance the baby survives a threatened miscarriage, however after my experience Friday I find it hard to hold any hope the baby survived.

Just looking for people with similar experience or advise on how to cope moving forward!

Hi, I was exactly the same. Stood up today and it was like a murder scene. I’m being treated as miscarriage for now & in a week will have bloods and test down to see if everything passed successfully. I’m too attend a&e if the pain gets worse. I hope you both get the positive answers you want. I’ll be thinking about you both
