Possibly miscarrying?

So I found out I was pregnant 01.03.22, I have a 28 day cycle so I tested a little early as my period wasn’t due untill 05.03.22.
I was testing for a few days and got stronger positives each time. Then on the 13.03.22 I was at work on the evening an noticed some pink discharge, I’d had this in my previous pregnancy and went on to have a beautiful little boy so I tried not to worry untill the next day having actual red blood, not loads much less than a period but it was red which concerned me! Had cramps just like a period pain and got in touch with GP I have a scan tomorrow afternoon 16.03.22. The bleeding stopped the next day so today, no blood just back to pink discharge and no pain… I’m roughly 5 weeks 4 days today, has anyone else experienced this and how did it end for you?

I’m in the middle of a similar situation, but don’t feel it will end well in my case, I’m afraid (though I’m fervently hopeful I’m just earlier than I first assumed). I tested unexpectedly positive on 5th March, I wasn’t tracking my periods so unclear on dates, but assume from the faint lines on the ICs I was around 4 weeks. I started bleeding (period-like) on 9th and 10th March, but was still testing positive so went to the GP on Thursday who booked me into the EPU on Monday (partly as I was uncertain on dates). Sadly, the scan showed no signs of pregnancy, which could have been because it was too early (as I may have been as early as 4+5), but as my first set of bloods only showed HCG as 43, I’m not too hopeful. My second bloods were today, so still waiting to hear. I was still getting positive cheapies yesterday. I’ll update once I hear.

Thankyou for commenting! I think I’m going to be ending with similar results as you, iv just had my scan I’m still here waiting to check HGC levels, and they couldnt see pregnancy. So sorry that your in this situation though please do update me what happens when your results come back. Keep your head up x

I just had the call now and the levels have gone down to 27, so that’s that confirmed. It’s been an odd couple of weeks and I think because it was a surprise we were thinking about some of the practicalities much earlier than we would have done otherwise, only for it to have been snatched away a few days later. Of course, it also raises the question of whether we want to actively start trying for another, and I really don’t know. It all seems so much heart over head…

So sorry to hear that, and yes of course especially as it was unexpected but I’d say when you feel ready try again if it’s what you both want, mine was kind of a surprise too so it’s just annoying when it gets taken away. I’m just waiting for my results now and then to go back Friday but i think I already know as iv had scans at 5/6 weeks before and seen something and I’m religious with my periods. Did you bleed more than me or had any more bleeding? It’s confusing because I didn’t have much but it was for the day and now nothing at all. I will more than likely be trying again but now I have no idea when our periods will restart cos iv not had much bleeding. I was excited to give my little one a sibling 😩 give yourself some time to decide whether you want to try again, you could have a perfect rainbow baby xxx

I only bled for the two days, which was actually much shorter than my usual period, but the same level of heaviness. Just have to wait and see what the future brings I guess. On the plus side, at least it will mean that I can drink on our long awaited holiday to Malta in May!
