3rd chemical pregnancy, feeling low

Hi, I just wanted to see if anyone else is in the same situation as I'm feeling at a loss and quite down tbh. I had 1 chemical before my daughter who is now 6 and had another one last year and just going through my third one now. Does anyone know what could be the reason? I think some cycles I ovulate closer to my period so maybe low progesterone? I get pregnant really easily so I know that's ok, not sure whether I should contact the dr to have blood tests or just keep trying? Thank you x

Hey, I am so sorry you're going through this. I'm completely the same and finding it hard and upsetting. I've followed exactly the same pattern as you, except our boy is 4 yrs old :) I just wanted to say thank you for posting this, it's made me feel much less alone with my pain today. I always find it tough when my period comes now. I wonder if you're on to something re asking your GP for advice but also from everything I've read (obsessively!) there isn't any cause, it's not something you've done or not done. I hope it helps to know you're not alone. Sorry I can't give any practical advice! Sending lots of hugs xx

Low progesterone or could be low oestrogen or could be egg quality. As you can see it can be any number of things- most of my chemicals were due to low oestrogen. My lining was degrading and wouldn’t support implantation.

I’d be booking in for some fertility texts and scans if I were you.

Get you and him tested, could be multiple things. I’ve had 8 chemicals and 2 mcs. Now doing IVF and our embryos have chromosomal issues (egg quality and sperm dna fragmentation). It could also be unbalanced hormones, infection, womb lining, immune issues etc etc. Too many possibilities so testing is the only way to know!

@Smokey19 and thank you for messaging, its comforting for someone to be in the exact same position as me, so sorry you're going through this too. If I speak to my gp I'll let you know what they advise.

@Machina01 thanks for the advice, I did have all my hormone levels checked a while back and they were all fine, but not sure if they should be checked at a certain time in my cycle? Did you have a successful pregnancy once you're estrogen levels were sorted?

Well you should be having day 21 bloods if you’re concerned about low progesterone.

Yep, two more pregnancies once I started a oestrogen supplement. One ended at 8 weeks in a MMC - tests showed Patau’s and I’m currently 34+5 with a little girl - all tests and scans normal so hopefully she’s our little rainbow!

@Phrenologistsfinger ok, thank you. This has made me worried 😫 hoping it's nothing serious. Gives me comfort to know I have 1 daughter so hopefully it's something easily fixable

@Machina01 wow congratulations, lovely to hear the happy ending. She's your'e little rainbow 😊

@HollieMarie1991 you are probably fine, we are fairly old (40), hence chromosomes are a bit iffy. My main point is it could be various things, all you can do is keep trying, testing and conduct a process of elimination and treatment. Might just be a numbers game for you and at least you know you’ve done it ok before (I haven’t). Good luck!

I had two chemicals and a 9 week miscarriage between my younger two children. Pretty sure it was linked to low vitamin D as my GP found out I was deficient and prescribed a supplement just as I became pregnant with my youngest. Out of 8 pregnancies - 4 live births - it was the only pregnancy where I didn't experience on/off bleeding during first trimester.
