Feeling WELL

Hello,
I'm very new to the miscarriage boards and would like to say thank you to all the women who have shared their experiences.
I'm in the missed miscarriage limbo at the moment and waiting to see if anything happens naturally after our baby stopped growing between 6 & 7 weeks.
I suffer terribly with severe pregnancy sickness (this is my third pregnancy) and have spent the last few weeks bed bound eating plain food and probably quite dehydrated. My sickness hasn't stopped yet, but for when it does, and for when I'm recovering from the mc, I was wondering if anyone has any top tips for feeling well and healthy.
I currently feel absolutely rotten, but would love to know when you started feeling well, and what helped? Exercise, supplements, vitamins, smoothies, skin care, films, music, blogs, books, treats, anything.
We will try again for another baby at some point, but I'm in no rush because I don't want to spend the best part of the year rotting in bed. I'm just so desperate to feel better.

I didn't want to read and run. So sorry for your loss.

I felt like shit for a month, wasn't sure if it was mental or physical. Really drained. So doc did blood tests and they weren't bad, I think it must have been mental. It's I would say about 7 weeks after I felt myself again. All I did was just as my therapist would say 'let myself feel it.' so when I was feeling knackered I rested, sad I cried etc. I am out of the other end now.

Practically I took supplements. Doc told me to eat not veg to, as I was on the low end of iron.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

I had a d&c and felt mentally better walking out of the clinic. A line drawn under the whole thing.

Physically it was the slight weight gain or bloat that was most annoying and I guess I was tired but I threw myself into work. I watched TV on the afternoon of the d&c and went back to work the next day. I find distraction the best remedy for most things.

Hi @Newbean thanks for your reply. Please could I ask what supplements you took?

I'm so pleased that worked for you @pawpatrolneedaunion thanks for sharing. This week I think will feel like the longest ever as who knows if I'll start to pass naturally or not. Distractions would be great, unfortunately my pregnancy sickness is still terribly debilitating.

So sorry you have both been through this too. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond Thanks

I took a prenatal vitamin and then a supplemental vitamin D to that as my vitamin D levels were found to still be low despite the vitamin D in the prenatal.

A multivitamin would be fine, I just took the prenatal because it doesn't have vitamin b12 (I think) and planned to TTC not too long after xxxx

I'm so sorry your sickness is still bad, I hope it improves soon Thanks
