Pregnancy after Complete Molar

I had a complete Molar Pregnancy back in October. I have just finished my first period since then and i REALLY want to start trying again. The after care for a Complete Molar is 6 months.
But, all of my test show that all my levels have gone back to normal, and the nurses arent concerned at all, but theyre still telling me not to get pregnant, when i ask why its "just in case"
But my levels are normal and theyve said theres an extremely low chance that theres any molar cells left and every thing looks godo.
So, would you still wait?
I really want a baby.

Yes I’d wait. They would only tell you to do that if there was a justified reason. It’s not worth the risk I don’t think

@KJE3112 I had a molar pregnancy also and was monitored for 6-8 months after. Once that time had passed they said I was good to try again and could give me no reason not to. Seems strange there not giving you a real reason. Has your monitoring stopped ?

@KJE3112 sorry I just realised it's before the 6 months didn't read that properly!

They have to make sure none of the cells have attached them self to the uterus. Hence the 6 month monitoring. Because if this happens it can be dangerous. Wait for sure!

@KJE3112 did you decide to wait or are ttc? I’m in a similar position. I’ve been told I’ve had a molar pregnancy. My HCG levels at 6 weeks pregnant were 97000. I had a D&C and a month later I’m down to 9500. I really don’t want to wait 6-12m either.

@cheekysausage i actually got the okay a few weeks later in feb. So i did decide to wait but im now almost 9 weeks pregnant and have confirmed its not molar this time. I dont think it wouldve made any harm in my case to have not waited. Maybe double check with your nurses when itll be okay again to try, thats what i did, they asked me to just wait until i had my blood results back and make sure they were ok. Sorry you went through this too, if it helps too there is a molar pregnancy support group on facebook that you can join x
