Any hopeful stories? Was scanned yest at a private 4d scanning place that also do early resurance scans. LMP 10 Nov, postive early pregnacy test on 4th Dec. I should have been 8.4 yest but baby was only measuring 6.0 sonographer could see pregnacy sac fetal pole, yolk sac, little flickering heart beat but not distict enough to measure. Been refered to an EPU tomorrow afternoon. I feel like the EPU will probaby show the baby is petering out and then it'll be missed miscarriage management. To make it all more shit I have had terrible pregnacy nausia that seems to be tipping over into hyperemisis, been sick about 20 times since yest eve, struggling to keep fluids down and feeling dehydrated. Feeling v sad and sorry for myself!

I wish I had a positive story but sadly not. When I went for my scan I was measuring 6 weeks but was actually 8 weeks. There was a glimmer of hope at their was an (admittedly weak) heartbeat. I waited another week and the scan still showed a weak heartbeat. Finally when I would have been 10 weeks the scan came back with no heartbeat.

Just offering you a hand hold with ever way this goes xx

Hi @skeletonbones I am very much feeling like it's the end of the world today. I am in the limbo of waiting for my second scan and/or the bleeding to start. I have terrible HG too and just desperately want to feel better so I can actually look after the two boys I have. I flit between hoping the bleeding starts and wanting to wait for surgery. It is just so difficult. Are you still feeling very sick?

skeletonbones · 21/01/2022 16:04

Hi Bunty,
Yes the sickness carrying on as usual is juat awful. I am still sick every morning. I had anti emetics prescribed by the gp which have helped a lot, I'd def reccomend this if you havnt already xx

I had the surgery yesterday. All very straight forward and I've found the pregnancy symptoms have dropped off straight away, boobs arnt sore, not sick and no terrible indigestion anymore. I'd def reccomend surgical management for anyone in the same position, despite the last 2 scans showing bleeding behind the sack, then the sack starting to collapse I had no bleeding at all and not much drop off of preg symptoms. I dont think the miacarriage would have happened naturally for me and although I feel very sad, I have accepted it was not meant to be and am greatful that I could have the surgery to stop plodding on miserably feeling so ill.
