Christmas day early miscarriage

As title states- was only 6 weeks 2 days but had just had first GP appointment and was really starting to feel "real".
Started to have strong period pains/cramps yesterday and steady bleed but not overwealming (sorry tmi). Go between feeling sad, teary and optimistic for future. Im 37.

Just wondering if anyone has any stories of positively conceiving again after a miscarriage?
Also has anyone had an early miscarriage and found out what happened? I don't know what we did wrong and how to prevent for next time.
I have a son already.

Sorry gloomy post but hoping to hear some positive conceiving stories after miscarriage?

Hey OP Thanks This was me on Christmas several years ago. Please try and take it easy on yourself. It doesn't matter that it was early, you're allowed to grieve for the loss.

I didn't get a "happy" ending unfortunately (didn't have children), but wanted to reply re "what could you have done differently?" - nothing. You didn't do anything wrong. This tormented me too until someone on here said something like, if there were ways we could spontaneously end pregnancies by doing or not doing something, we wouldn't need abortions. Don't blame yourself.

Thank you. Yes rationally I know it was likely not anything I did/didn't do but no I just feel abit "what if". What if I'd taken multivitamins earlier (only started taking them once positive), stopped drinking my one coffee a day! Silly little things. Guess my mind is trying to process it all and just looking to what i can do differently in future.
Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it.
