Chemical pregnancy share

My partner and I got our BFP two days ago, and on the very same day I began to bleed (so cruel!)
I was around five weeks.
I have been to the Dr’s and they have taken my blood to measure my HCG levels and I will be going back in a day or two.
I have been bleeding heavily since it started and only this morning have I passed some clots.
I was just wondering if anyone would mind sharing their stories?
How long did you bleed for? Were your periods irregular after?
I am hoping now some clots have passed the bleeding might slow a little? I have cramps but nothing severe, my period pains are far worse. I’m just uncomfortable and feeling a little sick.
I am feeling down and a little lonely. Could do with a chat from people who are going through/have been through the same so I don’t feel so useless Sad

Hello love. I've had lots of chemicals, I'm sorry this is happening 💕 I bleed for slightly longer than my period, but ovulation doesn't seem too out of whack afterwards. Some of them have been painful, some not so much.

My friend is an obstetrician. The most helpful thing he told me during mine in August was "there is nothing you have done, or didn't do, that has caused this. Early pregnancy is largely a mystery, even to doctors. We're bystanders and that's hard, but also releases us from needing to feel any guilt"

You aren't useless, I promise. 💕

@daisiesblue I'm sorry you are going through this, it's a tough one to take. I'm on my first cycle since I started bleeding from my chemical, got my BFP then a week later it started. It was more painful than AF and I cried pretty much every day I must admit, but once the bleeding stopped (around day 6) I felt better & like it was time to start trying again. I'm CD18 now (the day I usually ov) but no sign of a positive OPK so I reckon it will be delayed by a little, but have read it's normal for your cycle to be a little out after a chemical/MC. It's tough but you'll come out the other side, sending lots of love💐

@rainbowsandmagpies @lionsmum
Thank you both for replying, I’m sorry for both of you that you had to do this too!
I’m on day two of bleeding and in my emotional state I thought I may have to go through it for another two weeks or so so it’s good to hear it shouldn’t be that long ❤️
I’m very sad at the moment, lots of tears, but I’m lucky to have a wonderful partner by my side!
I’m relieved that you’ve both shared this with me, thank you!
I will keep that quote close to me ❤️
Lots of luck to you @lionsmum with your new cycle!

You're so welcome. I remember just feeling so lonely, but you're definitely not alone in this experience or these emotions. Feel free to message if you need to.

Good luck @lionsmum - I got my stickiest ever BFP the month after my latest chemical. I'm somewhere between 8 and 9 weeks now. Fingers crossed for you 💕
