Miscarriage at 11 weeks- cramps

Hello all,
I’ve just had my fifth miscarriage in a year at 11 weeks. It started suddenly at home with dark, fresh blood. The cramps progressed and I was getting ready to go to the doctor when I just started to bleed uncontrollably, and I eventually fainted due to blood loss. That was Monday. Now it’s Friday and my uterus is still cramping and it’s so tender. Should I be worried? The cramps are worsened by walking but I have to go to work and move around quiet a bit.

Hi @Pollypocket2021,

Firstly I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. Flowers

I had two miscarriages within three months of each other last year and I found that my bleeding was a lot heavier with my second miscarriage than my first.
Both were unassisted natural miscarriages and I found it took almost two weeks for the pain/cramps to completely go. A friend of mine had some issues after her own miscarriage due to some left over tissue in her uterus, so it might be worth getting checked if the pain is getting worse rather than gradually improving.

Thinking of you x

So sorry for your loss. Did you go to hospital when you fainted? Have you been scanned/been to the EPU?

I lost my 1st at 11 weeks (then 7 weeks, then 9 weeks). There was alot more bleeding at 11 weeks and it went on the longest too.

Thank you x Yes, after I fainted I took myself to the hospital and got scanned and the doctor said the miscarriage was complete as he found no tissue. Woke up this morning with bad cramps.

Thanks so much for your reply xx I’m so sorry to hear that, I hope you get through ❤️ the doc did a scan to confirm the miscarriage and said there were no contents of pregnancy left. But I woke up this morning with worse cramps. I’ll keep taking the buscopan.
