The paperwork

Finally revisited my maternity notes folder, two months after the MC. Didn't feel able to until now. It was just sitting on the bookshelf, haunting me.

Is there any reasonable purpose in keeping it? I'd only had my booking in appointment before the MC. It seems like such a waste of paper and the midwife's work to chuck it.

Is there something I'm supposed to do with it? I realise this sounds ridiculous.

I kept the letters actually diagnosing the MC and the MC treatment and shredded the rest.

I didn’t deal with the paperwork for 7months (but I did hide it)!

Mine is hidden away with all the hcg tests and any paperwork relating to it , private scans etc
I added my first #1 MC bits to it too as I didn't get far enough to get to a booking appointment with that one... I feel like it's a nice keep sake that they both existed. But I daren't look through them for now.... they're there in case I regret getting rid.

Thank you so much for your replies. I am genuinely so relieved that others have had similar concerns and it makes me feel so much better. I think I'll keep the main bits and file them away and chuck the empty/unfilled papers.
