“Extra” period after CP?

I just had a CP, only identified by my period showing up early and taking a test which showed a faint BFP, confirmed by blood test.

I was ready to go again this month but I’ve now got my period again exactly one week later. I can’t be arsed to phone the GP as I know they’ll just have no idea. Has anyone had this, where the chemical was a sort of mini bleed on its own and then still got AF that same cycle?

Are your pregnancy tests still negative and did you have follow-up bloods to check how quickly your hcg levels were dropping?

I’ve had an ectopic. Now, anything weird and my mind goes straight to possible ectopic. It’s probably nothing but best to check

Oh thank you. Tbh my pregnancy line was so faint first time round, and the HCG on the blood test showed the pregnancy had already been lost, I didn’t do any follow up tests. My own GP was crap and refused to see me for three days so I paid for the blood test myself as knew it would be too late by then.

I will do a pregnancy test today to check. Sorry about your ectopic, hope you’re ok now x

Thank you! I decided to ring the GP and they’ve referred me to EPU so I’m sat here now awaiting a scan just to check everything has cleared. Second MC in four months so feel like an EPU veteran!

Yes! I had a similar confusing experience. I had a MC and ERCP about 10 weeks ago. We started trying again after 1st period. About a week before my period I had a phone call to say the MC may be a molar pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test and was getting a faint positive. My period showed up and when it finished I still had a positive on test but the line was stronger. I had bloods taken and HCG was 40, it dropped to 26 two days later. Then 5 days after my period finished I started to bleed again! My HCG was 8 so classed as negative. Then I ovulated on CD 17. I am confused as to wether it was a CP or leftover hormone from the molar!
