Miscarriage

Hi everyone,

I just wondered if anybody could help or if anyone had experienced anything similar. I suffered my first miscarriage on 8th of October, all happened naturally and was over within 2 weeks. I lost our baby at 11 weeks but M told the heartbeat stopped at 9 weeks. I did a pregnancy test 3 weeks later and this was negative.

I got my first period when I expected it to be due, I just am still bleeding - well on and off on day 14 of this first period following miscarriage. Has anyone experience anything similar? I am not sure if I should be concerned or is this normal? Keen to start trying again!!

Hi @BigAlice I'm so sorry for your loss. Sounds like you had your loss just before me
I had my first period and it was heavy but only lasted 3/4 days
I'm not sure what to advise on how long yours has gone on for .. but there are a few active threads on periods after MC you might get more response on?
I think if it were me I'd call EPU or /and GP
One because it's a long time to go with bleeding and two because I'm seriously impatient x

Thanks you for coming back to me @Doodledeedum. I have booked a telephone appointment with the doctor for next week so hopefully they can shed some light. I so sorry to hear about your loss as well, it’s scary how common early pregnancy loss is.
I am just finding it all a little bit frustrating because we are keen to start ttc again…are you the same or taking some time out?
