Ectopic pregnancy- HCG levels after methotrexate?

Has anyone else been treated with methotrexate injection for an ectopic pregnancy?
I'm wondering what to expect for blood results and how fast HCG can come down. There's not much info online.

My HCG levels 2 weeks ago (4/11/21) were 427 on the first blood test.
8/11/21 - 4 days later they rose to 430
13/11/21 - 5 days later they dropped to 300

I'm now waiting to hear back about todays results.

Hi I had an ectopic in May this year which was treated with methotrexate. I had highest level about 400 like you. From what i remember it took about 2-3 weeks for hcg to go completely to zero.

Hi @LemonyT thanks for sharing, I got my results back from Thursday (2 weeks after injection) and they had fallen to 164 so I'm pleased with that ☺️

I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies and was treated with Methotrexate both times. I had to have bloods every 48 hours and each time the bhcg levels reduce by half until back to zero. The 1st took 16 days to return to normal and the 2nd one the levels rose slightly before coming down and that took 24 days. Methotrexate although it’s great at doing it’s job of making the body reabsorb the cells I suffered with horrible side effects both times so I hope you are ok both with the drug and the fact you have suffered from an ectopic
