5 weeks with BFP and bleeding

Hi folks - has anyone had a bleed and cramps at 5 weeks and still tested positive after bleeding stops?

I'm 5 weeks today and woke up for a pee during the night and noticed some pink blood when wiping. As the morning has went on the colour has got darker and I am experiencing cramps. They are bad - but not as bad as I get during AF (really severe).

I have spoken to GP who thinks it's a MC. I also had a chemical preg at 4 weeks 4 days last month. I am awaiting a call back from EPAS to see if they think doing anything else is worth it at the moment other than 'riding it out' and taking a test after bleeding stops.

Basically I'm clutching at straws and hoping this could just be a hormonal bleed and I will still have my BFP when the bleeding stops🤞🏻.

Is there anyone out there had a similar experience?

Just incase anyone comes across this thread - took a HPT and came back negative so MC instead of a hormonal bleed.

Thank you, miscarriage at 5 weeks too. Does it get easier in time? I feel so silly feeling sad when it's early but we were so excited.

I'm sorry for your loss and that BFP hasn't come yet. I hope it's not too long for you and your next pregnancy goes smoothly.

I hope I'll be able to get pregnant again but if so I know I'm going to spend the whole first trimester worrying. I can't imagine how people feel after stillborns
