Is this a miscarriage?

Hi everyone. So I found out I was pregnant on Sunday (very unexpected 42 and just had a failed IVF transfer). We had sex once after the failed transfer and I got pregnant naturally. I’m roughly 6 weeks. Last bleed 1 Oct. today I’ve started bleeding heavily and passing large liver like clots. Little bit of dull pain around the abdomen, like period pain. I also took 2 days of Clexane 20mg on the advice of my consultant and then today started bleeding.

I think this is a miscarriage. I have had beta taken and waiting to find out the result. It was 5500 on Mon. For those of you that have sadly had a miscarriage. Was passing large clots part of what happened to you? I’m so sad as I thought getting pregnant was impossible anyway and now I’m having it taken away from me. Pls offer any support or words of advice, I’m feeling so 🥺

Firstly I'm really really sorry for the pain you're feeling and yes I'm afraid to say it does sound like what would happen. I know when I've spoken to EPU in the past they've told as soon as you start passing clots to give them a call or go in.
In my own experience this is what's happened and I've seen..... of course non of us are doctors but I can only answer your question,... I'm so so

Thanks for checking up on me. I had a miscarriage. My mum came to stay with me and we went to the clinic today for a scan and bloods. I still have some lining to shed but the baby is gone. Just feel numb and very sad. Thanks again x
