Unexpected reminder

I just went for a flu jab. I’ve had one the last few years so didn’t really think about why I had been invited for one (in hindsight it was because I was either a parent to a medically vulnerable child or pregnant at the time, neither of which are true now).

Get there and the dr looked me up and down and asked how pregnant I was. Told her I miscarried back in July. Apparently I’m not eligible for the jab because I’m not pregnant. This is fine but the unexpected reminder of the miscarriage has really hit me again. Posting here because I have no one else to tell, DH won’t understand and the only other person I told about it is currently in labour with baby no 3.

Sorry OP thats really shitty. I have constant reminders and very intrusive random thoughts and I put it down to the trauma of it all, I completely understand you

I'm so sorry, thats a really shitty way to be reminded, your GP should have better procedures in place to stop things like this happening, hope you are doing ok.

Aww op that's awful I'm sorry, what an unpleasant and unexpected reminder.

I had a similar experience, lost my first pregnancy at 10 weeks. Got pregnant 3m later and when I went back to gp to see community midwife at 5 weeks, same one I saw for my first pregnancy at 5 weeks she brought me in and said "you're tiny for 28 weeks!" And I was really confused...until I realised she didn't know this was second pregnancy after losing the first. She was mortified to be fair
